Bayou Traditional
Jazz Band
The Bayou Jazz Band is a
Dixieland Jazz Band that is made up of 7 talented musicians. The term
"Dixieland" jazz can also be thought of as "traditional" jazz, to
differentiate it from modern, big band, fusion, or straight ahead
jazz. Much of the music our band plays was the music that started the
jazz movement and was written during the 1920s and early 1930s. It was
performed by such noted musicians as Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet,
Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller and many others.
The melodies of their music is full of different emotions: happy, sad,
and funny. You are sure to enjoy this musical tribute to some of the
worldıs most interesting music.
